This is inspired by the iconic Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland and it's interlocking basalt columns which are the result of an ancient volcanic eruption.
A world Heritage site, the tops of the columns form stepping stones that lead from the cliff foot and disappear under the sea. Most of the columns are hexagonal, although there are also some with four, five, seven or eight sides.
According to legend, the columns are the remains of a causeway built by a giant. The story goes that the Irish giant Fionn mac Cumhaill (Finn MacCool), was challenged to a fight by the Scottish giant Benandonner. Fionn accepted the challenge and built the causeway across the North Channel so that the two giants could meet.

This is entirely cut, filed and polished by hand from 925 sterling silver.

The pendant is 1.9cm in approx at its widest point. It has a concealed tube bale which is not visible from the front.
It features domed silver discs of varying sizes clustered together. The domed structures greatly reflect the light and add texture.
This come complete with a 925 silver 18'' snake chain, which nestles at the base of the neck.
